National Ski Patrol is committed to fostering leadership, expertise, and inclusivity among all our members. At the heart of this mission is the Women's Program, a dedicated initiative that empowers women and emerging groups in patrolling.
The Women's Program provides a vital platform for patrollers to connect, learn, and grow. By offering tailored educational resources, specialized clinics, and robust networking opportunities, the program helps patrollers build confidence and advance their technical skills. Furthermore, it actively encourages members to step into leadership roles, ensuring NSP continues to evolve and thrive.
To further support members' professional development, the Women's Program awarded two $700 scholarships for the 2026 season. Recipients will use this funding to attend educational events outside their home Region or Division, bringing valuable new perspectives and techniques back to their local patrols.
We are thrilled to announce this year's scholarship winners:
Kara Kornhauser, Alaska Division, Fairbanks Ski Patrol
Susan Sampson, Southern Division, Cataloochee Ski Patrol
Congratulations to Kara and Susan!
